We are planning to film in the conference room that we booked out, this scene will be a re-shoot in a new location of the investigation scene that we previously filmed for our first screening. It was best to re film this because not only did the first shooting look unprofessional but it also was only 10 seconds long which is no where near enough in contrast with the killer scene. 

To re-shoot we needed a camera which I as cinematographer will operate and a tripod to make sure all of the shots are very steady.

We will use props to create a more office like atmosphere; These props are

Binders and folders,

mugs,

name tag,

calculator,

images of a crime scene,

a computer,

a kettle,

a coffee maker,

and a briefcase.

We need to shoot George walking into the conference room, working at a desk, looking at the investigation board, working at a computer and finally a burst of anger where he is frustrated.

Today I took it upon myself to email Mr Jon Taylor, I did this because I wanted to book out a conference room which will be used for reshooting our investigation board scene. After getting feedback from our peers and watching the footage max recorded in his bedroom I decided that we really need to reshoot that particular scene as it looks unprofessional and it doesn't credit us.

This is the convocation i had with Mr. Taylor.

Questionnaire of what I need to add to my title sequence

 I will ask my peers and teachers to fill out a questionnaire that asks them Crime/Thriller related questions. The questions will help myself decide what we need to add and after showing my group the results I will be able to take in their input of what we should add in order to make the genre clearer.

The results -
From these results I know that music should be a mixture of Intense and Eerie, there should be Quite a lot of blood, we should take ideas from seven, and it should have an element of horror within it.

There was one more result paper however it never got given back to me.

How to improve

After going through the feedback sheets and listening to my peers opinions and their constructive critism I have started to think about different ways we can improve our title sequence.To improve our title sequence I think we need to use our time efficiently, more use of the strobe lighting because we got good feedback from the panning shots I used while using strobe lighting. I think I will also take some canted angle shots as that gives a more uncomfortable feeling for the audience and possibly use some hand held footage as its farm more jittery and real.

Feedback of First screening

Today we presented to the class our first screening which unfortunately didn't go as well as we wanted it to simply because Max didn't have the footage we recored until today. From the footage of the first shoot he was able to put together a first screening however it didn't credit the group as well as we hoped. From what we have edited so far the entire class saw the potential of the title sequence because what we had was good and Max's editing was really good. The class thought our cinematography was good and the soundtrack Max added suited the footage well. The things the class thought we need to develop are the investigation scene, clearer narrative and the length of what we presented which i agree with. Out of the class ours had the second longest length however it was still just 40 seconds which isn't good enough.

 Today we filmed for our second shoot, this consisted of re shooting certain shots that we thought were too grainy or shaky, shooting new shots experimenting with strobe lighting and finally filming new close ups. I filmed any significant part of the rise en scene in an extreme close up because it focuses on that specific object. Some things will not be apart of the final piece because when editing some shots are much more engaging compared to others therefore we only want to use our very best shots. I also had an idea of writing on taking paper and filming that backwards which could act as an over lay through editing. This prop was mainly just to distort the audience and it turned out to look really cool.

Setting up the scene took much monger than expected because there was small light interferences overtime i wanted to use a new shot. To over come this problem we covered any light interference and resulted to using our phone torches which gave us the same eery low key lighting. This made the entire footage flow very well.
